* Tilting drum mixer means the drum will discharge concrete by tilting downwards. It is rapid discharge process and used for larger projects. Rapid means it delivers concrete by gravity that is tilting the drum downwards because of this the concrete mix obtained will be not subjected to segregation.

* One set of blades drags the concrete upwards and towards the centre of the mixer when the drum rotates in one direction. The second set of blades pushes the concrete towards the opening when the drum rotates in the opposite direction.

* A horizontal-axis cement mixer whose drum can be tilted; the materials are fed in when the discharge opening of the drum is raised, and the mixture is discharged by tilting the drum.
